It’s not unusual to bump into footballers at airports – but having two Liverpool legends checking in passengers at Gatwick will definitely have surprised some travellers on Monday.
Ex-Reds stars Robbie Fowler and Ian Rush helped Garuda Indonesia – who became Liverpool’s official airline partner in 2012 – celebrate their inaugural flight from London to Jakarta by working as check-in attendants at the international airport.
But, that’s not all.
As well as their checking-in duties, the duo also took part in some football freestyle fun and signed autographs and shirts for supporters.
